Hold the phone

Posted By on Sat, Dec 19, 2009 at 12:40 PM

Sen. Blanche Lincoln sent out a news alert last week about problems with Senate phone lines that seemed to be interfering with call reception. I didn't report it. Stuff happens, for one thing. For another, my guess was that orchestrated astrotruf campaigns on the health bill were to blame for overloads.

But I should have mentioned the notice. Because now I'm receiving form e-mails complaining that Sen. Lincoln has turned her phones off.

Here's one e-mail generation tool, from the Koch boys' Americans for Prosperity (for billionaires).

The lying liars will stop at nothing in their bullying.

Good for him and bad for the cops, he had security video that recorded the happenings including a door-blowing no-knock raid.

These days, comedy sketches write themselves. See Kanye West's visit to the Oval Office, retold by Saturday Night Live. Which somehow brings Arkansas to mind.
