Good grade for Arkansas education

Arkansas ranks 10th among the 50 states and D.C. in Education Week's Quality Counts survey of education policies and student achievement. The overall coverage is here. And you can see a state-by-state map here. Bottom line: Good grades on assessment and standards, a big fat D (against a D+ national average) on student achievement.

If our standards is so good, why is not so many of our kids be learnin so good?
