Holt visits LR, loves freedom

Posted By on Thu, Jan 14, 2010 at 2:45 PM

Former state representative and senator Jim Holt stopped in Little Rock today as part of a fly-by tour of the state to announce his candidacy for the U.S. Senate seat currently held by Sen. Blanche Lincoln.  (In response to a reader's question, the event was held at the main branch of the Central Arkansas Library System in downtown Little Rock).  For those of you keeping score at home, that's nine GOP candidates in the race now.  Holt used the opportunity to take a couple of shots at "60th Vote Blanche," and brag that he was the only candidate that met all of the Tea Party's qualifications.  "We have to ask ourselves at this juncture," Holt said, "which path are we going to take?  Continue down the path of socialism?  Or change back to the path of freedom?"
