Next up on library tax

Posted By on Fri, Jan 22, 2010 at 12:21 PM

Gene Sayre, the winning attorney in the successful Little Rock library property tax challenge, says he plans to do some discovery work on costs and procedures on potential refund methods and then seek an expedited hearing in circuit court. His clients still want a credit on tax bills going out in March. He said he'd ask the court to delay mailing Little Rock tax bills should plans not be in place in time.

Sayre said he believed a separate refund, with a notice to taxpayers through mailing, would be costly.
