Slacker Saturday

Posted By on Sat, Feb 13, 2010 at 7:02 AM

I may or may not be around much today. It's judgment day on the Arkansas Times Academic All-Stars and the task is as formidable as ever. No. 1 students from high schools big and small. Some with perfect ACT scores. Kids triumphant over cancer. Kids from barely functioning homes. Top students who arrived on these shores without a word of English vocabulary as recently as seven years ago. Thespians. Musicians. Athletes. Volunteers. It's always uplifting.

On a thoroughly unrelated topic: Have other neighborhoods in Little Rock had garbage or recycling service resume yet? Just curious.
