Sex and NW Arkansas

Posted By on Thu, Feb 18, 2010 at 6:05 AM

A blog reader alerts me to an extensive post on the OkCupid.com blog about how a woman's age affects dating preferences and practices.

OkCupid is the stats-based on-line dating service founded by some Harvard classmates, including Little Rock's Christian Rudder.

To get to the point: Keep scrolling down the long blog post and you get to some analysis -- with "heat" maps that measure women in the OkC database from younger to older -- on feelings about frequency of sex, the morality of use of contraceptives and frequency of testing for sexually transmitted diseases. Bottom line: Politically red Northwest Arkansas is blue, particularly as women get older, when it comes to sexual issues.
