Ark. out in Race to the Top

Posted By on Thu, Mar 4, 2010 at 10:57 AM

Thanks to Josh McGee at the Mid-Riffs blog for the news that Arkansas didn't make the finalist cut in the first round of competition for federal education money in the Race to the Top program. Neighbor Louisiana is among 15 states that will be vying for initial awards in what the Obama administration hopes will be a significant impetus for school reform.

McGee notes that Round Two applications are due in June. Arkansas will try again.
