Mightier than Walmart

Posted By on Thu, Mar 18, 2010 at 6:24 AM

Interesting story from Alcoholic Beverage Control Board yesterday. Walmart couldn't get a beer and wine permit for a store in Morrilton Ignore all the talk about public safety, convenience and necessity. That's window dressing. This story is simple: All politics is local. On this day, the Conway County liquor store lobby was stronger than the world's largest retailer in suppressing competition.
