Unholy alliance

Posted By on Tue, Mar 23, 2010 at 2:13 PM

Here's one from the political oddfellows hall of fame:

An invite for a fund-raiser for Supreme Court candidate Courtney Henry, to be held at the Edgehill home of Chip and Cindy Murphy.

"Special guests": Bill Clinton and John Paul Hammerschmidt. They have a little history, you'll remember, if you can remember back to 1974 when JPH beat the young law prof in his first political race. Hammerschmidt backed Henry two years ago in her race for Court of Appeals, to the displeasure of NW Ark. Republicans who favored a Hutchinson-faction backed candidate. Clinton goes way back with Henry's in-laws, Morriss and Ann Henry.
