Merit pay questioned in Conway

The Log Cabin Democrat delves into teacher unhappiness about how state school merit pay money was doled out in the district. Some schools participated, some didn't. Amounts varied. Some object to awards made without a recognition for the types of students being taught.

It's a situation not likely to be repeated soon, apparently, because tight money has dried up the state fund from which merit pay was allocated.
