Endorsements

Posted By on Thu, Mar 25, 2010 at 10:36 AM

A member of the loyal political opposition to our left-wing views urges me to note former Gov. Mike Huckabee's endorsement of Doug Matayo in the Republican primary race for 3rd District Congress. He invited me to spin it however, just mention it.

So, OK.

I haven't been doing much with endorsements. Too many of them, for one thing. For another, I'm not so sure how much vote-pulling power even a household name like Mike Huckabee enjoys. Never mind Bryan King, who endorsed Mike Moore. A kewpie doll to the first reader who can tell me who either one of them is. (Joking. A little.)

Matayo's friendship with Huckabee didn't help him much in 2006. You remember what he ran for, don't you?
