Talking heads

The Farm Bureau hosted a round of speeches today from second congressional district and U.S. senate candidates. Other duties kept me away, so I missed Halter's speech. I did get there in time to hear Jim Holt decry taxes, amnesty for illegal aliens and big government.

Lincoln told those present about how she kept "government-run health care," in the form of a public option, out of the health reform bill. A couple sentences later she described how she had "fought for health care reform" to make a difference in people's lives. Lincoln took questions from the press after her speech.
