Governor Bill Clinton signs Act 343 of 1983, also known as the April Fools’ Day Act, making Arkansas the only state in the Union to recognize April Fools’ Day as an official state holiday. Courtesy of the Butler Center for Arkansas Studies, Central Arkansas Library System.
