Through the ash, darkly

Posted By on Sun, Apr 18, 2010 at 3:00 AM

This is primarily a note to all those holding down home, work, etc. for the traveling Brantleys. This just went up on the Barcelona Airport website:

Due to the cloud of ash produced by the volcanic eruption of Iceland the airports of Barcelona, Girona-Costa Brava, Reus, Sabadell, Asturias, Santander, Bilbao, San Sebastian, Vitoria, Pamplona and Logroño-Agoncillo will be closed from 8.30am to 4.00pm today Sunday April 18

Tomorrow? It's just a day away. We shall see. Today, Gaudi and tapas and cava. If we're cancelled tomorrow, then the real fun begins. A ferry to an ash-free African air gateway, perhaps?
