Holt to the rescue

Jim Holt, Republican candidate for Senate, staged a gimmick news event at the Capitol today (lightly attended as you can see) featuring a flashing light-covered ambulance dubbed the Obamacare Repeal Unit and bearing other messages such as Join the Taxpayer Revolt. An observer helpfully sends along a copy of a state statute -- 27-36-208. Special restrictions on lamps -- which prohibits flashing lights except on emergency vehicles, school buses, etc.

  • Another Republican miracle-working governor

Great piece in Washington Post on the budget crisis in Louisiana. Big tax cuts and corporate welfare will do that to a state, particularly to a state whose previous governor, Republican Bobby Jindal, refused to join the Obamacare-funded Medicaid expansion. There's a lesson there for Arkansas.
