On Bro. Wooldridge's gay phobia

Posted By on Sun, May 2, 2010 at 7:35 AM

John Brummett's attention is drawn to 1st District congressional candidate and homophobe Tim Wooldridge's breath-taking pronouncement to the Family Council that it should be legally acceptable to fire gay people simply because of their sexual orientation, no matter how good an employee they might be.

To skim the very surface of this development is to understand that Wooldridge seeks to appeal to the culturally conservative majority in this district. But to give the matter even a second thought, much less any study at all, is to realize the utter absurdity and outrage of what he says.

Wooldridge is the man, you'll recall, who wanted to legislate public executions. And, as he constantly reminds us, he is a very devout Christian. Doing unto others.
