Golf club loses court appeal

The state Court of Appeals today affirmed a lower court ruling that holes of the Walnut Ridge Golf Club had improperly encroached on safety zones of the Walnut Ridge Airport and had to be removed, without compensation to the club.

The case had earlier prompted quite a bit of local controversy.

    One of the booths at this week's Ark-La-Tex Medical Cannabis Expo was hosted by the Arkansas Hemp Association, a trade group founded to promote and expand non-intoxicating industrial hemp as an agricultural crop in the state.
