False claims against Lincoln

Posted By on Thu, May 27, 2010 at 4:23 PM

Factcheck.org, which has an established record for vetting campaign speech, says labor union-backed advertising against Sen. Blanche Lincoln amounts to false attacks.

Factcheck earlier faulted Lincoln's advertising.

It's become an ugly, desperate spectacle. I have to believe most of this advertising isn't registering on many voters any more, except negatively. But something's going to trigger a decision on that last 9 percent.

Between the two of them and outside groups, it now looks like Arkansas will endure something like $15-20 million in spending before the primary is over. What does that portend for fall?
