Joyce Elliott wins in 2nd District

Posted By on Tue, Jun 8, 2010 at 10:17 PM

Just heard a happy speech from Joyce Elliott, winner over Robbie Wills for the 2nd District Democratic congressional nomination. Her 2,000-vote lead with more than 90 percent of the vote in will be hard to overcome.

She's the Republican Party dream. But that might be a commentary on the crimped, bigoted vision of the Republican Party more than it is a vision of the electorate. The conventional wisdom was mocked often tonight. It could happen in November, too. If you're looking for insiders and outsiders, Joyce Elliott and Karl Rove's spawn, Tim Griffin, offer sharp contrasts.

Robbie Wills promised tonight to do everything he could to help Elliott. Good for him.
