Posted By on Wed, Jul 14, 2010 at 4:00 PM

The University of Arkansas Board of Trustees today hired William Funk and Associates of Dallas to conduct the search for a new president of the University of Arkansas. President Alan Sugg has announced his impending retirement. John Ed Anthony, chairman of the UA Board, said the board had solicited proposals from nine search firms and received six. Funk will be paid a fee of $100,000. Anthony said that in recent years, Funk had found presidents for universities all over the country, including North Carolina, LSU and Virginia.
