Take it away.

Sorry for the technical difficulties today.

NEWS NOTE: Prentice Miller, the older man who'd been missing, was found in good condition today clad in underwear. Exposure to cold wasn't an issue today, with a heat index between 110 and 115.

NEWS NOTE II: A poll shows President Obama trailing Romney, Gingrich and Huckabee and tied with Palin. Of these, Huckabee has the strongest favorable numbers among all voters.

  • Cats and dogs

I've always been leery of people who dislike animals. To my wife and me, a house without dog hair in the corners and a cat perched on the windowsill is as barren as a highway rest stop. We're down to three dogs and two cats, the smallest menagerie we've had for years.
