The mad bomber trial

Posted By on Wed, Jul 21, 2010 at 6:39 AM

It's not smart to draw conclusions from newspaper coverage of criminal trials. You just don't see everything a jury sees or hear every bit of evidence. Facial expressions and tone of voice and believability of witnesses are also important.

But .... about Randeep Mann accused of bombing the state Medical Board chairman: He had the motive, he had the money, he had the knowledge of and access to military explosives. But will the absence of any direct linkage between him and the crime make it difficult to conclude, beyond a reasonable doubt, that he did it?

It is odd that he'd take a tire into a shower to clean it, cold outside or not, don't you think?
