What if it had been a Hog hat?

Posted By on Mon, Aug 16, 2010 at 11:54 AM

A brief in Sunday's D-G noted a "media member" had been chided by Hogs coach Bobby Petrino and QB Ryan Mallett for wearing a Florida Gators cap to Saturday's Hog football scrimmage.

Such headware — a breach of "professional etiquette," was how the D-G put it — is apparently no laughing matter.

Twitter from Renee Gork (Capshaw) of Hog Sports Radio says she's been fired.

When the reporter asked a question at the scrimmage, Petrino reportedly responded: "And that will be the last question I answer with that hat on."

Or off.

The reporter Twittered that she'd hoped to apologize to Petrino and Mallett on her radio show today. She's a Florida grad.
