Supporting the troops

Posted By on Tue, Aug 24, 2010 at 11:53 AM

Every news release Republican congressional candidate Tim Griffin distributes mentions his reserve military service. He's run TV ads about his reverence for military service. Good for him. Good for his kinfolk who served.

But also good for the the Blue Arkansas Hog blog, which thought it only fair to mention some of the work Tim Griffin has done for active duty military personnel. It lays out the details of a Griffin political dirty tricks operation aimed at invalidating Florida ballots submitted by likely Democratic voters, including black military on duty overseas. It's simple: Many Republicans aren't fans of universal suffrage when it includes black people.
