Hog heaven

War Memorial Stadium officials held an open house today for the stadium's new $7.3 million press box and private suites. For those (most of us) who aren't likely to achieved this rarified climate, some photos from Brian Chilson.

The structure includes two floors of private suites and club seating for 582 (up from 220 in the old Hog Heaven) and 260 new outdoor seats. The lucky fans will enter through a new stadium entrance named for Commission Chairman Gary Smith, the Little Rock businessman who's overseen some $15 million in stadium upgrades. The Orville Henry Press Floor includes a wall of honor paying tribute to other big names in the sports coverage business — Jim Elder, Paul Eells and Orville are already in place. Coming are tributes to Jim Bailey, Wally Hall and Harry King.
