* Sen. Mitch McConnell said small businesses making more than $250,000 in profits before taxes were "hardest hit by the recession." The unemployed? Who cares. UPDATE: McConnell is now trying to remove the foot from his mouth, but truth hurts. Repubs simply care more about rich than poor, that's why they think of them first in talking about tax legislation.

* Karl Rove, decided after a day of pounding by conservatives, that the wacky Republican Senate nominee from Delaware — though dishonest and all — is a great candidate after all. How wacky is Christine O'Donnell? She once called for an investigation of Bill Clinton for the killing of Vince Foster.
