Don't cry for Argentina

Posted By on Fri, Sep 17, 2010 at 7:18 AM

Some more development is necessary on this before I provide more details, but I received an interesting e-mail last night from a former North Little Rock resident who said he was married last month in Buenos Aires under Argentina's new law allowing same-sex marriage. The former Arkansan now has legal residency status in Argentina on account of his marriage; his spouse couldn't enjoy the same privilege in the U.S. so they will live in Argentina.

The newlywed said his mother had attempted to place the marriage announcement in the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, but was unsuccessful. The Arkansas Times is happy to announce same-sex marriage of Arkansans.
