All race, all the time

Posted By on Mon, Sep 27, 2010 at 6:42 AM

John Brummett deconstructs an e-mail smear of President Obama attempting to depict him as cooking up a scheme to pay reparations of a sort to black people. Facts don't matter. Explanations don't matter. Whatever they are, Obama will remain black and have a threatening middle name.

That's why we're treated to the nuttiness
of an Arkansas pizza maker Republican seeking the office of lieutenant governor on the promise that he'll stop THE OBAMA AGENDA. As if there was one and the Arkansas lieutenant governor had any power to do anything about it. When they say it's not about race ...

The nuttiness doesn't stop with the nonsensical campaign platform, of course. The final act comes in November.
