West Memphis 3 on national stage

Thursday's arguments before the Arkansas Supreme Court on Damien Echols' challenge of his conviction and death sentence in the West Memphis Three murders commands attention in the New York Times today.

The article, by former Democrat-Gazette reporter Joe Stumpe
, focuses on new DNA evidence and potential juror misconduct in the trial and notes the attention celebrities such as Johnny Depp, Natalie Maines and Eddie Vedder have brought to the case.
