State revenue still up

The state's report on September tax revenue shows income above the same month a year ago for the fifth consecutive month. Gross revenues were a bit below forecast, but officials put that down to estimated income tax payments, which are pegged to last year's poor results, but should translate to higher income taxes on filing next spring. Growth in revenue is strong, the state says, in corporate and individual income taxes and sales taxes.
