Shale, rattle and roll

Is it just me? Or do we seem to be having an extraordinary amount of seismic activity in the prime drilling area of the Fayetteville shale zone?

Perhaps it's time somebody took a careful look and compiled some statistics. The issue is farther advanced in Texas and Pennsylvania drilling zones, though the gas companies naturally dismiss the notion.

KATV posts an interview from the tremor zone. It hit a 4.0 on the scale today and that's starting to be earth-moving territory.
