Smile, you're on candid camera

God love the Downtown Partnership. They've been trying to "turn the corner" on Main Street redevelopment for better than a decade, with the thanks for their effort marked by, among others, a crooked developer, a failed major redevelopment, Warren Stephens' personal urban renewal program (mass demolition) and lots more.

But hope springs eternal.

The excitement! today is the donation of a surveillance camera to be mounted at Third and Main that cops can monitor from a River Market location — if not otherwise engaged.
