What's your big idea?

Posted By on Mon, Oct 18, 2010 at 11:30 AM

We're gearing up again for our annual Big Ideas issue, and we want to hear from you. This year we're expanding our scope from Central Arkansas to all of the state.

Every topic is on the table. Commerce. Education. Government. Infrastructure. Tourism. Entertainment. Should we overhaul the state tax code? Build bike trails across the state? End blue laws? Require elected officials to do a certain amount of community service (as was proposed in last year's edition)?

Think small or medium if you prefer and feel free to propose something wildly outlandish — any idea is fair game as long as it would change the state for the better.

To submit your BIG IDEA, either send an email with your idea (in 300 words or less) to bigideas@arktimes.com, fax it ATTN: "Big Ideas" to 501-375-3623 or mail it to Arkansas Times, Big Ideas, P.O. Box 34010, Little Rock, AR 72203. Include your phone number, too.

The deadline is November 17.

We'll collect the best submissions in a coming issue.
