Clinton's maneuvers in Florida race

Bill Clinton tried unsuccessfully to get Democrat Kendrick Meek to quit the race for U.S. Senate in Florida to give a boost to Charlie Crist's independent candidacy. A fiasco? Or does Clinton's seal of approval for Crist help him a small amount?
