Arkansas time — So long, Sen. Lincoln

Posted By on Tue, Nov 2, 2010 at 7:29 PM

Arkansas polls are closed, though some people in line are still waiting to cast ballots at scattered locations.

The networks called Arkansas for Rep. John Boozman, the Republican Senate candidate, the minute the polls closed. Sen. Blanche Lincoln will go home to Virginia or a lobbying job. Wake me when Sen. Boozman's sleepy, non-productive tenure is over.

Gov. Mike Beebe, the Democratic incumbent, has also already been declared a winner, which provides a contextual firewall against coming Republican gains in lesser Arkansas offices tonight.
