Marion Berry: Worst person in the world

Posted By on Thu, Nov 18, 2010 at 7:14 PM

In a year in which he drenched himself in shame, U.S. Rep. Marion Berry added a crowning touch — he joined the minority that defeated extension of unemployment benefits. The millionaire can go back to his federally subsidized farm and live it up while working people suffer. Rep. John Boozman didn't vote, the same effect as another no vote against working people. The motion was approved 258-154, but it needed 17 more votes for passage under a rules suspension.

For once, Rep. Mike Ross was on the right side of a vote for people who'd be working but for cruel fate.

Millions face unimaginable hardships in the Christmas season.
