Our warming globe

Posted By on Fri, Nov 26, 2010 at 6:30 AM

A convergence of events this morning:

* A Twitter feed from a prominent Arkansas wingnut sneered at global warming because the temperature dropped below freezing last night. To assess global climate issues on the strength of one night in Arkansas (after one of the warmest Novembers I can remember) is somewhere short of science, seems like.

* On the other hand, in the NY Times, you have a report from Norfolk, Va., where rising tidal waters may or may not be related to climate change, but where it certainly hasn't bred many skeptics. Indeed, it has people questioning the long-term value of beachfront property.
