A new tax for NWA

It is fair to say, I think, that the northwest corner of Arkansas is the hottest of hotbeds for legislative sentiment in favor of tax cutting and government starvation.

So I have to be amused that it will also be the birthplace of a new taxation scheme to build the highways that the commercial interests up there demand. The Iconocast today explains the regional mobility scam. In short, it's a way to get Washington County to pay for Benton County roads, whether they want to or not.
