Money talks; political spin walks

Posted By on Thu, Jan 6, 2011 at 2:33 PM

The House voted today to cut the House operating budget 5 percent. The vote drew only a handful of nays. Republicans are touting it as a major achievement. Chump change.

What Republicans aren't talking about is the $230 billion it will cost over 10 years if they repeal health care reform.

UPDATE: Go here for your hypocrite Republican quote of the day from the freshman congressman who campaigned against government health care but couldn't wait to sign up for some himself. Said Rep. Michael Grimm: "What am I, not supposed to have health care?"
