The good suit club school package

Posted By on Wed, Feb 2, 2011 at 6:39 AM

Luke Gordy, the former state Education Board member who now lobbies or advocates fulltime for the cashroots groups (Walton/Hussman/Murphy/Stephens money) working to legislate the backers' vision of school reform, has graciously sent along a newsletter outlining his employers' education "reform" package for the 2011 legislature.

It would make school transfers for students to other districts easier, encourage more charter schools, encourage non-traditional teacher licensing and more. Here's the newsletter with the proposals and arguments for the changes. Much more will be heard and said in the legislative session ahead. But I invite commentary.
