Apple store — again

A potential tenant in the Promenade at Chenal told us last week that he'd been informed an Apple store would be opening there by fall. Official sources are still silent. The rumor of the imminent opening of an Apple store in the center has popped up periodically since at least 2007 and is running strong again this week.

Maybe the umpteenth time is the charm.

In the meanwhile: I say this as an owner of an iPhone, a fourth iPod and assorted accessories and having visited at least three Apple stores (including the Fifth Avenue, New York temple shown above): What's the big deal? Versus buying the same stuff on-line? I believe I'd prefer that over driving through I-430/630 construction.
