CUT AS I SAY: Not as I do. David Meeks

Matt Campbell at Blue Hog Reports continues to mine gold from his examination of the "bills" Republican legislators — government cost-cutters all — are submitting for "consulting" services and "expense reimbursments."

These unitemized bills are nothing but pay supplements and they beg a class action lawsuit to separate any who are claiming legitimate expenses from the boodlers. Again: just about everybody does it, Democrat and Republican alike. But the Blue Hog naturally focuses on Republicans who've blocked trivial spending increases, such as $6,000 for the Arkansas School for the Deaf, or have boasted about how they intend to put government on a reduction plan. Except for themselves. Below is an example of the documentation it takes to claim a fat monthly check from taxpayers if you're a legislator.

How, exactly, does a legislator consult herself, as Rep. Ann Clemmer claims in the bill above. What kind of consulting did David Meeks get from his wife, a church secretary?
