More disclosure sought for political ads

Posted By on Tue, Mar 22, 2011 at 6:34 AM

Amen to this. A public interest law firm has petitioned the Federal Communications Commission to require more disclosure about who pays for political advertising. The name of some meaningless group is not enough. Major backers of the groups should also be disclosed. These advocacy groups can spend unlimited amounts. It seems only fair to know who is spending it.

Reaction to this from fatcat stealth bankrollers like the Kochs will be fierce.
