English driver's license test bill fails in House

Posted By on Wed, Mar 23, 2011 at 2:01 PM

Don't have the vote yet, but a message from publisher Alan Leveritt says the House has defeated Rep. Jon Hubbard's bill to require that driver's license tests be administered only in English.

Here's the vote. Needing 51, it got 49, against 37 nays, with 11 not voting and two "presents."

They'll undoubtedly try this one more time.
