Sunday thoughts

Looks like a grill evening, don't you think?

I have to go to the store again, so I'm turning duties over to you. I had minor weekly needs today and so, against my better judgment, opted for the shorter drive to the Hillcrest Kroger. After a couple of months away, I found no sign that they've made any of the promised steps of beefing up grocery aisle inventory. Four routine items were not available in the store. I shouldda known. They ruined a perfectly good store.

  • Another Republican miracle-working governor

Great piece in Washington Post on the budget crisis in Louisiana. Big tax cuts and corporate welfare will do that to a state, particularly to a state whose previous governor, Republican Bobby Jindal, refused to join the Obamacare-funded Medicaid expansion. There's a lesson there for Arkansas.
