Redistricting: The cast of characters

Posted By on Sat, Apr 16, 2011 at 6:35 AM

John Brummett begins today a useful roundup of the characters and motivations at work in the recently concluded legislative debate over congressional redistricting. Most of the elements have been mentioned here or there, but the assembly of the trees into the forest clariifies the picture.

Based on blog reaction, public comments and other, I still tend to think congressional redistricting was a whole lot more important to a relatively small band of political junkies than the public at large. The three Republican congressmen are the textboook example of fungible.
