Update on the Huckabee beach home

HUCKABEE HOME: Rising in Florida.
  • HUCKABEE HOME: Rising in Florida.

The Democrat-Gazette's Charlie Frago strolled the Blue Mountain Beach in Florida where Mike Huckabee's big new home is rising and reported today on neighbors' enthusiasm for the Arkansas tax fugitive.

The report mentioned the house would be around 11,000 square feet. I went back to when we first reported on the house in December. We looked up the building permit then and it said the three-story home on Blue Mountain Road would have 8,224 square feet of living space, and 2,969 square feet of porch and deck space. Permits say home construction will cost $2.2 million, but that's on top of the $800,000 lot.

Lots more pictures and video here if you missed them the first time.
