Little Rock to pick superintendent finalists

Posted By on Mon, Apr 25, 2011 at 9:29 AM

The Little Rock School Board will meet this afternoon to produce a group of finalists for consideration for school superintendent.

Search consultants are to talk with representatives of community groups about the coming interview process at 4 p.m. The Board will meet at 5:30 and go into executive session to narrow the list of 17 applicants. I'll try to update with the names this evening. There's no fixed number of finalists expected.

Morris Holmes has been serving as interim superintendent since the Board bought out the months remaining on Linda Watson's contract. He's not a candidate for the permanent job.
