Tim Griffin's war on wasteful government

Posted By on Tue, Apr 26, 2011 at 12:17 PM

A reader reminds me that a Republican-supported House budget plan — thanks Reps. Tim Griffin, Rick Crawford and Steve Womackwould take $450 million out of the hide of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

That includes a $126 million cut for the National Weather Service.

You've heard of the Weather Service, just another one of those unnecessary government boondoggles, haven't you? Wouldn't you be happy if Republicans curtailed their activities a bit? It might reduce all those bothersome interruptions to your TV programming. Call Tim Griffin and thank him for targeting such waste.
