Our man in Pakistan

Posted By on Mon, May 2, 2011 at 11:55 AM

Mara Leveritt sends word that you might see an Arkansas name in news dispatches from Pakistan. Little Rock native Chris Allbritton is now the chief of Reuters' bureau in Islamabad. Allbritton — a Central High and UALR graduate — became well known in journalism circles during the Iraq war as a free-lance blogger. He's gone on to cover pirates off the Horn of Africa and other hot spots before landing in Pakistan.

Here, though not from Allbritton himself, is Reuters' interview with the man who Twittered the raid on Osama's compound as it happened.

Talking Points Memo has posted military photos and diagrams of the compounds where Osam was hiding.
